Job description
Build the infrastructure for circular waste logistics
Seenons is a tech company on a mission: a world without waste. As a certified B Corp, we’re building the digital logistics infrastructure that enables organizations to separate, track, and route waste – turning a fragmented, outdated system into one that’s circular and future-proof. Our international platform brings together all players in the waste industry for circular waste management. We help large organizations reduce waste and save valuable resources from going to waste. Because with huge shortages of raw materials – something has to change.
It’s a massive, operationally complex challenge — one that touches real-world logistics, finance, customer operations, and environmental impact. It needs strong product leadership to solve. Over the past period and still today, Lee Clissett has supported us as interim, fractional CPO, helping shape the product and engineering team through a key transition. As we embark on the next stage of our journey, we're ready to bring in a full-time CPO to lead this next chapter: envisioning, building, and executing a truly transformative path forward.
Don’t waste this opportunity
✅ If you’re ready to build and lead a high-performing product and engineering team.
✅ If you’re driven to steer the strategic direction of an innovative platform.
✅ If you’re excited to seize impactful new opportunities in AI-driven products.
What you’ll do
Craft and communicate the vision - Define, execute, and evolve the long-term vision and strategy for Seenons’ product suite and Product & Engineering team — and ensure it’s clearly understood across the organization to drive alignment and focus.
Lead a small, high-performing team - Build and guide a focused team (~13) across product and engineering. Create a culture of clarity, connection, and ownership— where people are motivated, supported, and proud of the work they do.
Balance the core platform and innovation - Ensure our core platform reliably meets essential user needs, with a focus on stability and efficiency. Proactively communicate trade-offs and priorities to the business and different countries, and assess when to maintain vs. innovate.
Drive impactful innovation - Identify and seize opportunities to leverage AI-first solutions that boost revenue, growth, and efficiency. Areas of focus may include:
AI-Driven Customization: Develop consultancy-style AI tools to offer bespoke solutions for large clients, creating revenue streams & competitive advantage.
Data-Driven Insights: Create intuitive, self-service products enabling customers to effortlessly derive actionable waste insights.
Real-Time Data: Transform slow, manual data flows into rapid, accurate, proactive notifications, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.
Agentic AI Services: Implement intelligent, proactive, AI-driven customer interactions, delivering high-touch experiences with minimal overhead.
Job requirements
Who you are
You’ve got experience as a product leader (VP, Group PM, or similar) and can clearly demonstrate how you shaped a vision, rallied resources, and delivered an impact. Ideally on a product that has the complexity of bridging physical services with digital technology, such as logistics or complex 2-sided marketplaces.
You're a visible, people-focused leader who builds trust through clarity, honesty, and open communication. You set high standards, give and welcome feedback, and create a lively, energetic environment where people feel challenged and supported.
You’re excited and comfortable with small, impactful teams. You thrive in an environment that values quality and agility over size. You see the opportunity in shaping and leading a lean, powerful team.
You're an AI-first thinker. You actively engage with how AI transforms product teams and workflows. You see AI as a strategic advantage, excited by the chance to drive these innovations rather than react to them.
You’re deeply curious about user needs but remain discerning about ROI and impact. User insights inform your decisions without dictating your roadmap. You hold clear, evidence-backed opinions on product vision, org structure, and culture but actively seek feedback and course-correct quickly when necessary.
You're not afraid of the messy and complex world of a sales-led enterprise product. You know how to balance and maintain a core product, how to navigate the varying expectations of enterprise clients, while also exploring ambitious new opportunities.
You get energy from solving real-world and sustainability related problems – you might even enjoy walking through a warehouse or riding along on a route.
You're available full-time (40h per week) and able to work from our Amsterdam HQ at least 3 days a week.
Why now?
Seenons is moving from early-stage to a focused, well-funded, sales-led scale-up. The mission is urgent. The complexity is real. The leadership and investors see strong product leadership as pivotal for growth and one way we can remain differentiated. We're expanding internationally, and we’re just getting started.
What you get with us:
The opportunity to really make a difference within our organization together with 80+ talented colleagues. You get a lot of freedom and responsibility.
A fulltime strategically impactful position, competitive salary, and a pension contribution.
Share in our success with a SAR package and future opportunity to invest in the company.
25 paid holidays per year and 8% holiday pay.
Working at a prime location in Amsterdam with panoramic views of the Houthavens.
Daily fresh vega(n) lunch (or a home office allowance if you work from home).
Social activities and get-togethers to celebrate successes.
Good equipment with at least a (refurbished) Macbook.
Done wasting?
So are we! We would love to hear why you would be happy to work with us and why we should be happy to work with you (this can also be brief and to the point). You can apply for the position, and we will get back to you soon.
