We are Seenons, a tech company with a mission: a world without commercial waste. Our platform brings together all players in the waste industry for circular waste management. In this way, we help large organizations to reduce waste and together we save as many valuable raw materials as possible from commercial waste.

We have developed a platform with an accompanying app that matches fine-meshed commercial waste with waste processors who give the waste a second life. From the Houthavens, we are now working hard with 80 colleagues on our mission: a world without waste. But our team of Waste Warriors is not yet complete! For our team we are looking for a Junior Controller.

How you will make a difference

In this challenging and educational role, you will own and manage the invoicing process, oversee everyday to-dos within the finance team and play a key role in the monthly and year-end closing. You will be part of a growing international finance team and report directly to the Financial Controller. We are a growing company and this means that this is a versatile role. We a searching for a team player that will be proactive, hands-on, and execution-focused.

Below is a selection of the work:

• Own and manage the invoicing process, this includes:

  • managing various stakeholders within the sales/invoicing process

  • understanding & overseeing the logic of getting from data in the platform to a useful, complete and correct invoice

  • keeping track of the monthly invoicing progress

  • being a key stakeholder for Tech to develop features to develop and maintain the invoicing process

• Assist with the accounting and financial reporting for our Belgium entity, ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting methods, including prepayments and accruals.

• Assist and monitor the everyday to-dos in finance, always having an in depth overview of what's going on.

• Supporting the Financial Controller with various financial tasks and making analyses.

• Contribute to Finance improvement projects by performing ad-hoc tasks for the Financial Controller.

• You will develop yourself in Finance topics that you are interested in. This can be anything, for example data analysis or process optimization.

You are the perfect candidate if:

• You have 1 to 2 years experience in a finance and/or accounting role.

• You have a demonstrable affinity with finance & accounting and want to develop yourself further in this direction.

• You consider yourself to be tech-curious.

• You are precise and accurate. You like working with data and maintain an overview - even in busy times.

• You are a self-starter, result driven with the ability to work independently and to remain calm under pressure.

• You are proficient in Excel, experience with Exact Online is a plus.

• You have good communication skills in Dutch and English, all internal communication is in English, so it is necessary that you speak English.
